stacked: variation on the artist book
August 2 - 14, 2010Seemingly mundane, reusable, and disposable, books are ubiquitous and ever present in contemporary culture. But through repetition and reconstruction, the works that will be included re-examine traditional notions of artist books in a contemporary way while investigating recurring themes of secrecy, hiding, fleeting memories, impermanence and sequencing through emotive and physical layers and disposable materials.
